Board-Certified Physician Assistant | Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology

Elise Van Leuven is a nationally board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach, Elise is passionate about helping individuals feel confident in their skin—whether through treating complex dermatologic conditions or providing aesthetic solutions with a natural touch.

Elise’s journey in dermatology began right here at Colorado Dermatology Group, where she worked as a medical assistant to Dr. Lillis and Dr. Caufield prior to PA school. It was under their mentorship that she discovered her calling in dermatology—and now, after completing her advanced training, she’s come full circle, proudly rejoining the practice as their physician assistant.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, one of the nation’s top medical institutions.

Beyond the clinic, Elise is most at home in the mountains. Whether she’s hiking, camping, or skiing, she’s usually accompanied by her energetic pup, Marley. A dedicated animal lover, Elise also volunteers with a local dog rescue. When she’s not outdoors, you might find her planning her next travel adventure or enjoying a good book.
